Old West Festival Info

The Old West Festival is back!  Some of you may recall that we discovered the Old West Festival last fall and our kids had a blast.  It was so much fun and I definitely looked forward to it returning this year.  However, I did not expect to help promote it and now I am!  Here is the latest information for its 6th year along with some photos of our adventure last year.

When is the Old West Festival?

The Old West Festival runs Saturdays and Sundays September 7 to October 6, 2013 from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. rain or shine!  I did not know this last year (if it happened) but this year there are theme weekends.  Read descriptions in detail on the Old West Festival’s Theme Weekends page.

  • September 7-8: Cowboy Hero Weekend –  The first 1,000 children under the age of 12 get their very own cowboy hat for FREE!
  • September 14-15: Native American Weekend
  • September 21-22: Steam Punk Weekend
  • September 28-29: Villains Weekend
  • October 5-6: America’s Pastime Weekend – Baseball both days!  The Cincinnati Red Stockings play The Dayton Clodbusters on 10/6 at 1:05.

How much are the Old West Festival tickets?

$12 adults, $6 kids ages 6 to 12, kids 5 and under are FREE and parking is FREE.  Tickets can be purchased online or at the festival.

Where is the Old West Festival?

The Festival is located at 1449 Greenbush Cobb Rd. in Williamsburg, Ohio (45176) – just off U.S. Rt. 32, near Greater Cincinnati.

What is there to do at the Old West Festival?

You will see from our photos from last year that there is a TON to do.  Listen to music, watch demonstrations, see puppet shows, ride horses, view gunfights, eat, take train rides, land in jail, etc.!

One lucky reader will receive a 4-pack of tickets!  In order to enter, leave a comment below telling me if you’ve ever been to the Old West Festival and which weekend you think looks fun to attend this year.  One winner will be selected next Tuesday, September 10th.

For more information and all the details about kids’ activities, daily shows, etc. visit the Old West Festival website or follow them on both Facebook and Twitter.  You can also revisit my post from last year for even more photos of our experience and a little advice about the mud.

Disclaimer: I was also given a 4-pack of tickets this year to help promote the Old West Festival.  I think our family will most likely attend on the baseball weekend.  No shocker there considering Henry’s latest obsession!

  1. We have never been, but I think it would be fun to attend. I think the baseball weekend looks like a lot of fun. I’m sure Jax would like that one since he’s a huge bball fan!
