This is a fun thing you can do at home with the kids all winter or use for a Holiday Party at school.  All you need are the following items:

• Straws
• Cotton Balls
• A Goal – whether it be a finish line or a “bucket”
• Optional: Obstacles – we used upside down plastic drinking cups

At home, the kids played this all morning.  Blowing the “snowball” all over the house.  At the classroom party, the volunteer did a couple of different “races” with the groups of students.  They raced against each other, did an obstacle course, and just saw who could blow it the farthest (shown below).

A simple activity with lots of fun!
