<Whatcha Might Not Know are Wednesday posts that are just that…something quick that you may or may not know about me, my family, my neighborhood, my city, my world, etc.>
So for the past few Wednesdays I’ve written about the proposal, the pre-party and the wedding day. Now, let’s talk honeymoon. The honest truth is since we had a much smaller wedding (18 people…in attendance!) Andy and I spent the money we had saved for the large wedding we didn’t have on the honeymoon. We headed to French Polynesia.
It took us about 24 hours to actually get there, but it was worth every minute. Think about how many people visit Hawaii in a DAY…that many tourists visit Tahiti in a YEAR. It was very secluded, quiet and breath-taking. We island-hopped staying on Moorea, Bora Bora and Tahiti. Here are a few pictures from our adventure.
We dressed the part:
One of our over water Bungalows:
We fed fish through our coffee table:

We snorkeled off of our deck:
We toured the islands:
One year later I received the most awesome anniversary present. My dad had taken a couple of our photos and combined them into this painting. I think he did a fabulous job. It currently hangs over our fireplace and is a nice reminder of the best vacation ever.
Where did you honeymoon??
That looks like the perfect honeymoon! We went to Rivera Maya, Mexico, along with everyone else! But it was great.
