My parents divorced when I was 5-years old. I have a little sister who is 2 1/2 years younger than me. My mom remarried when I was in high school and they had my brother when I was 16 – best sex ed lesson…ever. My stepdad passed away in 2006 and never got to see me working at a construction company (his field). I’m not sure if it would have made him laugh or find another field of work! And many of you already saw that my dad is down south.
My parents’ divorce brings a lot of advantages and disadvantages – and I wouldn’t have it any other way. The biggest perk = free lodging, chauffeuring, and entertainment in Florida. (Ft. Liquordale as it’s known by our family.) See you Saturday dad!

The birth control lesson line is really funny! My youngest brother was born when I was eleven and, fortunately, I was not yet worldly enough at that time to really think about about how he got there.
