Parky’s Farm at Winton Woods

I had no idea that Parky’s Farm did a Halloween event.  I have been receiving their newsletter since the girls went to Pony Camp this summer.  I was delighted to find out about it and to get some tickets to check it out. Last Friday night was the opening weekend and a perfect evening to attend. What a great surprise for the kids. They loved it.

Unlike some local fall attractions, you pay up front to attend Parky’s Farm Halloween Nights.  HOWEVER, once inside almost everything is FREE and included. The only extra costs are the concession stands and the pony rides.

Our first stop was the tent with the interactive Magic Mirror on the wall and the Fortune Teller.  The kids really enjoyed those.  AND receiving the candy afterwards.

Then it was off to the bounce houses.

My kids have been asking me FOREVER to go play putt-putt golf.  Ghost mini golf?  Oh. my. goodness.  They were in heaven.  And when it got really dark, the holes glowed!

All around the farm, there were really nice light displays.  The kids enjoyed seeing all of them.  Here is just one example of a witch and her kitty cats. Wonder what she’s brewing???

A few times during the night there was a stage show.  We were able to see Rock Star Corey at 7:00.  He was a great entertainer for kids and the show lasted a perfect 20 minutes.  He sang lots of songs and had the kids up and moving right along with him.  In fact, they are still running around singing “Monster Mash” this week.

While there we also were able to take a nice hayride through the woods to see even more Halloween blow-ups and lights.  We walked through the Hardly Haunted House, enjoyed the Fun House and saw the animals in the barn.  Overall, I thought it was well worth the $6/ticket (if you purchase online) admission.  My kids were entertained for a couple of hours.

What is one of your favorite Halloween events or activities?

{I was given tickets in exchange for promoting this event, but all opinions are my own.}
