Olde West Chester Christmas Walk

Olde West Chester Christmas Walk

West-Chester-Christmas-Walk-3

The annual Olde West Chester Christmas Walk is always the second Saturday in November. Yes, it is early in the holiday season (always before Thanksgiving), but it is mainly outdoors and the weather is usually perfect for strolling up and down the street while getting into the holiday spirit. It usually starts around 2:00 and ends with a 7:00 parade and tree lighting.

We have attended multiple years and the experience is always different. There are vendors, special guests, nonprofits, entertainers, etc. Each year we park at St. John’s and start at Dr. Tran’s West Chester Family Dentistry to collect the “passport”. The passport allows kids to get a sticker or stamp at each location. It helps parents see who is participating along the walk! Over the years we’ve visited with Santa, listened to great music, had a caricature completed of the kids, created crafts, bought cookies, eaten fresh popcorn, fed goats, bounced in bounce houses, and even have seen Big Boy, the Grinch, and the Frozen gang. I will confess we have never made it long enough to watch the parade!

Ensemble Theatre – Around the World in 80 Days

I have been fortunate to attend a few shows at the Ensemble Theatre over the past years. The last two were “Alice in Wonderland” and “Snow White” and my girls loved them both. So when I had the chance to see this year’s “Around the World in 80 Days” I was a definite yes. I

What better way to cure cancer than with ice cream?!?! I’ve got to admit that Graeter’s is one of my all-time favorite ice creams.  It’s a regional thing here in the Cincinnati area.  So when I was asked to help spread the word about the Cones for the Cure campaign…there was no way I was going
