Top 10 Reasons I Haven’t Blogged Lately

Top 10 Reasons I Haven’t Blogged Lately

Heart Ball

I know, I know…my blog is SLACKING.  Well, I’ve been a bit busy.  So here are the good reasons poor excuses for why I haven’t been blogging!

  1. We spent practically two weeks in Florida in October.  And I’m STILL unpacking and organizing all the crap we brought back with us.  Fun times and great experiences, but a lot of work.  I hope to share some more Disney photos…but can’t guarantee when…
  2. I apparently LOVE to volunteer at school.  Which is time consuming when you can’t say NO.
  3. I coordinated the Harvest Party for Stella’s class.  See #2.
  4. I am now obsessed with Wildtree and the freezer meals.  NEVER thought I’d say that.  So I have been using chunks of time to prep for workshops I’ve attended.  It has paid off a TON at dinner time.
  5. Andy and I have been extremely social lately.  Attending TWO balls within a matter of two weeks.  One was in Minneapolis and the other one local. Both extremely fun.  (Photos are from both of them.)
  6. I am co-chairing the all-school Holidays Around the World PTA event.  See #2.
  7. I’ve been making a few hair bows and headbands for the holidays.  I am participating in three small vendor events.
  8. I’m back to my love of reading.  I’ve read a few really good books.  Are you on Goodreads?  If so, find me.  However, I need to do a few reviews of the books I’ve read recently.  Gone Girl?  Oh my.
  9. I’m coordinating the Holiday Party for Stella’s class.  See #2.  See a pattern?
  10. My home computer recently showed me some love with the blue-screen-of-death.  That was a scary moment.  Sadly our computer is only 6.5 years old.  But I guess that’s like 112 in computer years.  So we are shopping the holiday ads for a new one.  Any suggestions?  Requirements are only that it is a desktop for our office.  It is extremely difficult to blog from a mobile device – or at least for me it is!  So with the computer not cooperating very often…blogging is not the first priority.  Paying the bills online is!

This blog truly is a hobby for me (by choice) and not an income generator.  So it unfortunately falls to the back burner when all of the above occurs!  But thanks for sticking with me if you are still out there.  Hello?!?!?!

What Bloggers Do At A Blogger Event

What Bloggers Do At A Blogger Event

Just what else does a blogger do…exactly? I’m often asked what are the things I “do” as a blogger.  Well, here’s a perfect example of a blogger experience I had last week.  So if you are interested, read along!  I belong to a local bloggers group that tries to get together every month or two

LaRosa’s – Last Chance for Montgomery Inn Pizza!

Last month I was lucky enough to enjoy this LaRosa’s spread with a great group of people.  Every month there is a local blogger meeting and LaRosa’s graciously hosted us in February. We get together to share best practices, learn from each other and just talk to others who also understand the blogging world.

An Update on the Future of Take 10

This picture has nothing to do with the post below, but the kids enjoyed having Papa Kenny in town!     Back in October, I wrote a post about what I discovered at a blog conference and made myself a to-do list.  I can honestly say I am actually moving forward with most of

I Never Thought I’d Attend a Blog Conference

I Never Thought I’d Attend a Blog Conference

Seriously, if you asked me a couple of years ago if I’d be a participant in a blog conference I would have laughed in your face.     Well, now I’d be apologizing.    Because I spent last Thursday afternoon, all day Friday and then again Saturday morning attending just that…a blog conference.  Sure, I’d

Whatcha Might Not Know…7×7 Blog Award

Yes, this is one of those.  And it’s my turn to participate in the fun.  Blogging is such an interesting community.  We have our own language with words like blog carnivals, meme, and linky.  The are “friendships” I made that are definitely real, but unusual.  I love how Sarah writes about going to meet

This is a great infographic about Pinterest from Mashable.  Click HERE to see it larger.  Pinterest is definitely a quick success and I’d be surprised if you hadn’t heard of it or have an account yourself.  But with success comes many other things…critics, confusion, etc.  Some are still not sure what exactly it is,

Feeddler…My New Favorite Thing

In the middle of last year I wrote a post about followers.  And the many ways that people follow blogs…via Facebook pages, Twitter, Google Reader, email updates, etc.  And I was using all of those in order to follow the blogs I personally follow.  Plus I had a list of them in my blog

It’s Friday, It’s Random!

Yesterday’s post Dear Target got quite a small conversation going on FB last night!  If you prefer being updated in your News feed, but haven’t “liked” Take 10 yet on FB, here’s a shameless plug quick link to my FB page: Take 10 with Tricia.  I promise not to clog your News feed…99% of the

Focusing on Following

Focusing on Following

I will be the first to admit that I LOVE “followers”.  I am the personality/behavioral type that likes to be liked.  I enjoy feedback.  That “stupid” corporate phrase that “feedback is a gift” – yep, I believe it.  And I love dialogue.  Heck, one of my 5 StrengthsFinder strengths is Communication which is defined as
