The Queen City Brewery of Cincinnati {Blue Ash}

The Queen City Brewery of Cincinnati is now open north of the city in Blue Ash. It is located on Williamson Road just off of Cornell Road (near Reed Hartman Hwy) between Cazadores Mexican restaurant and McAlister’s Deli. The brewery currently uses their Facebook page for all announcements on hours and what’s on tap. Charlotte and I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon and I tried a flight of the four current beer offerings: Dark Knigh.P.A. Black IPA, Hall of Justice IPA, James Nut Brown, and the 7 Hills Highlander Scotch Ale. I liked all of them as you can see by my empty glasses below!

The atmosphere is very Ohio/Cincinnati-focused. All of the wooden tables were cut-outs of the state of Ohio. The beer flights had city skylines cut on them and artwork is local. Even their logo looks focused on Fountain Square.

The brewery was very family friendly. A couple of moms and their daughters met us there once I texted them the thumbs-up that kids were welcome. The brewery had a few games (Beer-opoly, giant Jenga, foosball) which kept the girls busy. There was no food onsite at this time, but you could order locally for delivery or bring your own food with you.

We chatted with two of the owners and they were very friendly and good sports when we asked why a local brewery would have the History channel on instead of the Xavier basketball game. They quickly changed it so we could cheer on the Musketeers. All in all, this was a great location with good beer. We will definitely be following their progress on Facebook and returning soon.

  1. As an X alum and huge fan, I am glad you made them change the TV to the Xavier game! Will have to check this place out as Imlive nearby.
