Condado Tacos

Condado Tacos

Location – The Banks

Condado Tacos is located downtown Cincinnati at the Banks. It sits right across the street from the Reds stadium and the Hall of Fame Museum and right below the AC Marriott hotel. You can’t miss it. Especially on a warm day when the garage doors are open and the bright artwork is visible. It’s one of those places that just calls you inside when you walk by it on the street. We didn’t plan to go, but stopped in before a Reds game to check it out and grab some food due to the lively atmosphere.

Seating

We were not disappointed. We put our name on the wait list and ordered drinks from the bar. It was a short wait before a spot at one of the tables became open. Condado Tacos is a wide open space with very large tables. So chances are that you will be seated at the same table as another party. However, it does not feel overcrowded or intrusive. The four of us were on one end of a table and four others were seated at the opposite end. It was loud enough in the restaurant that I did not feel like I was actually dining with them.

The Food

Then you order in a unique manner. You are given a paper menu because they are known for their build-to-order items. You literally go down a checklist and decide which kind of tacos you want to order – pick your shell, your protein (lots of vegetarian options), and your toppings. You can also create nachos or a bowl. They do offer a list of signature items if you want to go with one of their pre-built recommended choices. We selected a few tacos and an order of nachos. We also knew we wanted some guacamole and chips. The waiter recommended the Tuscan guacamole. Oh my deliciousness. I never imagined guacamole with artichoke hearts and balsamic. It might be a new favorite and the #1 reason I would return.

Overall, the food was fantastic – fresh and flavorful. it was definitely a place we will return. As much as we love to try new restaurants, we also love to discover places we like to visit again and again. Condado Tacos will definitely be a place we repeat!

Yes, I Still Wildtree

Yes, I Still Wildtree

Sometimes food ideas come and go as a fad – different ways to be healthy, different products, etc. But I’m happy to say that almost 5 years ago I started using Wildtree and I still do today. It’s become a normal item in my pantry and has replaced so many other items that are not

I Love to Eat – November 2017 Edition

I always enjoy sharing some of my favorite places to eat – for date nights or family nights. So you might have already read my older posts about favorite restaurants. But since I’m always out trying new things, here’s the latest installment. Holtman’s Donuts – West Chester (and OTR and Loveland) Holtman’s Donuts have been

I Love to Eat – More Favorite Food Finds

You might have seen my post a few months ago listing some current favorite restaurants. Well, since I’m always up for trying something new…here are a few more local places that are going to be added to our normal restaurant rotation. And just like last time, this is a quick overview. If you are curious

I Love to Eat – My Current Favorite Eateries

I am not the type of person to return time after time to the same restaurant every occasion we go out to eat. I LOVE to try new places. So, if you are like me, here are some places we enjoyed so much…that we just might return soon. This is just a quick post of what we

Cozy’s Cottage Sunday Brunch

Cozy’s Cottage Sunday Brunch

We decided to go out to brunch last weekend with some family. We also wanted to try something new. Cozy’s Cottage in Liberty Township was perfect. It’s right on Cincinnati-Dayton Road just north of the Yankee Kroger. The restaurant has only been open for about 10 months, but I kept hearing great things about it.

My Favorite Fitness Apps

My Favorite Fitness Apps

I’m back into the fitness/health/exercise/call-it-what-you-want thing. The holidays are never easy for me. Not enough time to get to every exercise class and food and drinks and Christmas cookies are everywhere! But now I’m back into my routine. And I have three main apps to thank for that. The MINDBODY Connect app is my link

Thanksgiving Party Ideas

Thanksgiving Party Ideas

First of all, these are NOT my photos! However, I did steal them off of Facebook with permission. Two of my FB friends attended the same “Friendsgiving” party over the weekend. And these are their creations. I knew they were such great ideas that I just had to share them. I begged for the photos

Cascadian Farms is a New Family Favorite

Cascadian Farms is a New Family Favorite

If you looked in my pantry or basement right now you’d see lots of Cascadian Farm boxes…cereal and granola bars. Lately I’ve been on a search for a mom-and-kid-approved granola bar that won’t melt in the car nor will break my budget. Often I’m told that organic stuff is WAY TOO EXPENSIVE. And often I

Kroger Simple Truth – And a Giveaway! {Now CLOSED}

Back in January, I was invited to another blogger event at Kroger to learn more about their “newer” Simple Truth line. I say “newer” because many items have been out for awhile (remember I got some to try last year?), but lots of things have been added recently. Unfortunately I was too sick to attend the event.
