A Morning in Over-the-Rhine

A few weeks ago my dad was in town for a long weekend.  Saturday morning’s weather was perfect for a trip downtown.  We decided to explore the City Flea and the “new” Washington Park.  When we discovered my dad had never been to Findlay Market, that was added to our list of stops before we headed back to the suburbs.

The girls loved seeing the artistic pigs!

The City Flea was a lot of fun.
The girls found some awesome sparkle rings.
Check it out.

After the City Flea we walked over to the Playground in Washington Park.
Way cool.
The kids did NOT want to leave.

A final stop at Findlay Market and we were all exhausted.

The kids enjoyed entertaining this artist.
He did a pencil drawing of Henry.

If you are local and haven’t seen the Over-the-Rhine improvements, it’s worth the trip.

Andy and I can’t wait to go back for a date night and try one of the restaurants.
We keep hearing they are amazing!
Anyone been to any of them?
Where should we go first?

  1. Tricia,
It was a blast meeting you and Krista this weekend at BloggyCon! I’m so glad you shared your schedule with me, watched my bag, entertained me and so much more! I look forward to keeping in touch with you through your blog, but I hope we can plan some meetups. I’m off to read through your hometown happenings posts.

Glad you took your dad to Findlay – such a great place to be on a weekend! I’ve yet to be disappointed by Taste of Belgium, Senate or Mayberry. Anchor is the newest place so I’d guess it will be crowded for a bit. Can’t wait to hear where you go!
