Whatcha Might Not Know…The Wedding Day

<Whatcha Might Not Know are Wednesday posts that are just that…something quick that you may or may not know about me, my family, my neighborhood, my city, my world, etc.>

If you are just joining me recently, I’ve spent the last two Wednesdays talking about my marriage proposal and the pre-party.  Thinking back since tomorrow is our TEN year wedding anniversary.  Wow.

We decided to get married where Andy grew up in Kentucky.  We only had 18 people at our wedding.  No, that is not a typo.  I didn’t forget a “1”.  Not “118”, but EIGHTEEN.  Including us and the priest.  All of us spent the weekend together and it really was fabulous – just our parents, siblings, and grandparents.  The only non-immediate family was my BFF and her husband.  It was one of the quickest Catholic ceremonies EVER.  And then we all enjoyed some great food and drinks in Andy’s parents’ backyard (shown below).  It did start to rain (sign of good luck!) so we moved the party inside for most of the evening.

That Sunday morning we headed off to a wonderful honeymoon…the big splurge!  More on that next week.

Seriously, there was NO ONE in the pews!
