Valentine Paper Plate Party Hat Craft

Valentine Paper Plate Party Hat Craft

These hats are a Valentine Party favorite. They are super easy to prepare and a fun craft to decorate. All you need is a stack of paper plates, a pair of scissors and some art supplies.

It’s best if an adult prepares the plates before the decorating. Fold the plate in half and cut out a heart shape as shown above and below. You might need to have a child model the hat to see how much of the plate you will need to keep to make it fit.

Use stickers, markers, crayons and other materials to decorate the hat!

Snowman Snowball Shooter Craft

Snowman Snowball Shooter Craft

The Snowman Snowball Shooter is always a popular item at the school holiday parties. I made them a few years ago with Stella’s class and I’m going to make them again this week with Charlotte’s. The supplies are easy to find, the prep work is not too bad, and the kids love every minute of

Leprechaun Traps

Leprechaun Traps

St. Patrick’s Day is Tuesday! Last year was the first year the kids set Leprechaun Traps the night before to see what would happen. You can read that How to Make A Leprechaun Trap post for step-by-step instructions. But it’s really not that complicated. You just need some boxes, paper, and markers. This was a

Muffin Tin Holiday Countdown

Muffin Tin Holiday Countdown

A friend posted this photo on Facebook this morning. I, of course, had to know more details. And then I, of course, had to ask to steal her photo and share the idea with everyone! Thanks Gretchen!!! She has two daughters. Each girl has one of these in order to countdown to Christmas this month.

Painting Fairy Houses and Clay Pots

Painting Fairy Houses and Clay Pots

I must admit that I fell in love with the idea of having a Fairy Garden this summer. Have I told you lately how much I LOVE the outdoors and gardening, etc.? So when I saw Valerie’s post on Pinterest about her own backyard Fairy Garden, I pinned it immediately and started planning. There is

Easel Art Gifts

Easel Art Gifts

It’s almost the end of the school year. Which can mean “end-of-the-year” gifts for teachers, bus drivers, classroom helpers, etc. So when I saw these 2-packs of miniature easels on clearance at Michael’s craft store, I bought a stack of them. (I noticed other sizes and options in the canvas area on an end-cap not

How To Make a Leprechaun Trap

How To Make a Leprechaun Trap

My kids have been talking about Leprechaun Traps for the past week. I’m not sure where they even got the idea, but they have been thinking intently about how to build them, where to put them, what they’ll do with the Leprechaun, etc. So when the weather looked a bit YUCK today (again), I thought

St. Patrick’s Day Shamrock Thumbprint Craft

St. Patrick’s Day Shamrock Thumbprint Craft

I was searching back through old photos and came across these snapshots from St. Patrick’s Day in 2010. Too cute. Yes, I’m biased. You can see that we don’t mind wearing green and celebrating the holiday. I also still decorate my hutch for different seasons. Today I put away Valentine’s Day and started getting out

Snow Day Indoor Activities

Snow Day Indoor Activities

This winter has been brutal for us as far as snow and ice is concerned. The schools are all closed again today and I’ve lost count as to just how many snow days this is…eight? Nine? The hard part is that it has either been too cold to go out in it (truly negative temperatures)

Disney Autograph Book with Photos DIY

Disney Autograph Book with Photos DIY

As most of you are aware, we finally took the plunge and went to Disney World last fall. In preparation for the trip, I did NOTHING until a few days beforehand. Suddenly, someone casually mentioned autograph books and I gave out a big sigh. I was thinking to myself…would we really need them? Were we
