The "Door" to the Kiddie Pool

When I was growing up we always had a kiddie pool at my grandparents’ house during the summer. I think it had Smurfs on it. My grandmother would keep it up for days. And she was very particular about us not getting grass in it. Therefore, our pool had a “door”…we were only allowed to enter it in one spot. Via the bright red dishpan also filled with water which would “wash” the grass off of your feet before entering the pool. And it actually worked!

I had forgotten all about it until my kids recently complained about too much grass in their pool. So off I went in search of a dishpan. And it still works! Although I was totally bummed that I could not locate a red one.
