Blog Challenge Day 15: Share a Bible Verse

Even better, I’ll share a great website/blog that will share a Bible verse with you daily along with some great thoughts to go with it.  Check out The Journey by Dianne Guthmuller.  In her words, “The purpose of this blog is to make the Bible practical and applicable to your day-to-day life.  It is my hope to challenge you to know God more through His Word.”  And I will admit…she’s pushed me out of my comfort zone!  I’m not a daily Bible kind of person.  But I always love seeing her posts in my FB Newsfeeds daily.

I had the greatest privilege of being able to work with Dianne for a short time while I lived in Alabama.  She was truly a blessing in my life and was a great mentor and coach.  Although neither of us work in banking training & development anymore (she left corporate and I moved states & industries) and we live states away…I am so fortunate to be able to stay connected to her virtually.  So seriously…check her out

This “blog challenge day” also pushed me to publish another page on my blog titled “Read! I Plead“…I’ve been meaning to do this for awhile now.  Although it’s not complete, at least it’s started – a listing of my favorite reads.  (Someday the page buttons will look pretty…I promise.  I’m thinking birthday present to myself next month = blog update!)

Here are the books stacked on my desk that I either really liked or want to read:

Andy and I are both avid readers.  And so, of course, we are raising readers.  All parents have their own particular focus areas…reading is one of ours.  We read in front of the kids, to the kids, with Stella now, and watch shows focused on reading…Super Why!, The Letter/Word Factory, WordWorld, WordGirl, etc.  And a friend just told me about Between the Lions which will be on my DVR very soon!

So what about you?  Favorite Reads??  How do you find the time??

  1. An intriguing discussion is definitely worth
comment. There’s no doubt that that you should write more about this subject matter, it may not be a taboo subject but generally people do not talk about these subjects. To the next! Many thanks!!
