Movie Mania

Blog Challenge Day 7: What are your favorite movies?

I’ve seen a couple of blog posts about movies lately and particularly enjoyed the one by My 3 Little Birds about childhood movies.

So here are mine, in no particular order.  I’d link to all of them, but trying to get this posted on my lunch hour before a crazy afternoon of meetings followed by swim lessons!

Love Actually
Toy Story
Life is Beautiful – subtitles, not in English (that’s cheating)
Notting Hill
Valentine’s Day
Jerry Maguire
Sabrina – the 1954 Audrey version
My Favorite Wife – the 1940 Cary Grant version
Sliding Doors
Sixth Sense
Wedding Crashers
Office Space
Sound of Music
Ocean’s Eleven
Usual Suspects

Cheesy Chick/Teen Flicks (old and new):
Sweet Home Alabama
Stepmom
Shakespeare in Love
Pretty Woman
Pretty in Pink
Breakfast Club
Sixteen Candles
How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days
Win a Date with Tad Hamilton
John Tucker Must Die
Mean Girls
She’s All That

Movie Crimes:

  • Hoosiers – Grew up in the town this movie is based upon, but never actually seen the whole thing.
  • A Christmas Story – Can’t get past the first 15 minutes.
  • Willy Wonka – Just plain creepy.
  • Gone With the Wind – LOVED the book; hated Scarlet’s voice in the movie…whiney!

What are your favorite movies?  Which ones did I forget??
